Looking to put more fish in the boat in 2018? or maybe you have a walleye angler or any angler for that matter on your Christmas list this year. Here are 10 excellent gift ideas  that will certainly get used and help that angler bring home more fillets to enjoy in 2018.

1. Anglers will love the new line from Berkley this year. Fire Line Ultra 8 has all the things you love about the original fire line as well as a few new features that make it even that much better and a must have for any angler on your list. $19.99ea

2. With Ice fishing just around the corner it’s time to think about gearing up after you lost all that tackle last season. And lets face it who doesn’t like getting more tackle even if we don’t need it. Northland Tackle never fails us when it come to their extensive list of Ice fishing products and this years HOT new item is the Glo-Shot Spoon. This new spoon has a mini replaceable glow stick inside of it that will light all day/night enticing those lip locked perch into biting. $6.99pack

 3. You can never go wrong with a new fishing rod and certainly cant go wrong when it’s “The Best Rod on Earth” St. Croix rods are made to last and they have warranty to back it up if something were ever to go wrong. The Eyecon series is an excellent rod with a moderate price points for the walleye angler on your list. With 8 new styles out this year you can easily find the style that fits thier fishing techniques the best. $120.00-150.00ea

4.  You know that we are all tackle junkies so why not add a few stocking stuffers to the mix with these Rapala Shad Dancers. These little guys work great for trolling or casting and have a ton of action to get those finicky walleye to strike.  Don’t just buy 1 unless it’s 1 of each color but I can assure you that you will wish you had 2 of each. $7.99ea

5. Another great item that you will want to load up on for that stocking stuffer. Northland Tackle came out with these stellar butterfly blade super death rigs as well as crawler harness rig this past season. These thing hands down put fish in the boat paired with a Slick Stick bottom bouncer this method is easy and deadly effective.  $3.79ea

6. You have to stay comfy and cool to enjoy your time on the water and these  Trenton Pants from Cabela’s have treated me well this past year. Very comfy and flexible to move around in and the mess from the fish washes off easy.  Slip on and off with ease with a pair of guidewear shorts on underneath. on sale now! $29.88

7. Berkley has launched it’s new Snap Jig but this one comes with a different twist. It’s just the glide blades and jig which you can add a soft plastic too.  This may very well be the ticket for some of those early spring walleye’s. With the Snap Jig trend being so popular in the walleye world today every walleye guy needs to have some of these in his arsenal.

8. If you are a true walleye angler then you certainly spend your fair share of time trolling. And every troller needs to be equipped with the best tools available. Off Shore Tackle has you covered from Planner boards to snap weights and everything in between that a troller needs.  I call planer boards “Big boy bobbers” and they are a blast to fish with.  $39.25ea

9. You got the new rod now you need to get a reel for it. The Pflueger President XT is an excellent choice all around spinning reel. Light weight and as smooth as they come bearings. This reel is at a very modest price point for it’s performance and it will make your angler very happy brining in a lunker on this bad boy. $79.95

10. Now nothing can beat giving that angler on your list a day of fishing! Give them the gift they will never forget. Fishing with a guide can open an anglers eyes to techniques and areas and methods they may have never thought of before. And if that isn't enough it sure is nice to be the

one in the boat fishing and relaxing instead of driving and finding the fish.  TheWalleyeGuys   will be running a Black Friday promotion for $50 off your 2018 guided walleye fishing trip but they must be purchased on November 24th from their website.
