FISHING REPORTS

Fishing Reports for Lewis and Clark Lake and Lake Francis Case.

Fishing Reports

Lake Francis Case 10/27/2026

• The same goes for Francis Case as Lewis & Clark with warmer than normal water temps. However there are plenty of fish to be caught without going far from the boat ramp. And lake access is very limited due to extremely low water.  Northpoint was pretty much the only access I found the other day.  Jig and minnow, Jig N Raps and Lindy rigging are great options right now. Get vertical on this fish or make short cast to them. Look for deep structure especially rocks and you will find loads of walleye.

Lewis and Clark Lake 10/27/2026

• Fall fishing comes later and later each year. In years past October was the official kick off of Fall fishing with the big walleye and schools of active fish show up on the east end of the lake near the deep water and put on the feed bag before winter. Over the past 3 years that this bite as slid into November and with the recent cold snap it has the fish holding the respective areas but not fully on a feeding frenzy yet. Water temps are still in the upper 50's and some mild temps over the next couple weeks will probably hold them there.  Less daylight and shorter days will trigger these fish to feed a bit more over the next few weeks. However there is a plethora of bait in the system so those bite windows will be brief. Look for walleye onto of the break lines or suspended on the channel age chasing bait until temps get below 50 degrees. Jig and minnow has been the best but crankbait bite should be firing up as well.
