Still a little of the same but that is all changing fast with these colder temps settling in. Start with pulling some lead core on the east end of the lake either on the SD side working the old river channel breaks in front of the beaches from Gavins to the Dam as well as from Wiegand to Walkers on the NE side. Once you find an active pod of fish, sit on them with jig and minnow if your not a fan of trolling. When trolling crank baits don't be afraid to go big. #9cm and larger baits are great this time of year, Ruble shads, Free Divers, Flicker Minnows & Tail dancers are all great fall baits. If there is a couple days of west wind scan the face of the dam as it can be loaded when the wind drives the fish there. 20-30'fow should be plenty deep through October until the temps are into the low 40's then the walleye will move deeper. Dress in layers the mornings are cold but don't be afraid to go out during cruddy weather in the fall, it may not be comfortable but it can be a great bite as long as boat control is manageable.

Fished with Guide Matt on Friday and learned a lot about the lake from the east end to the west end along with a numerous eye's and other species. Went out the next day to a few spots he put us on and popped a 25" and 28' eye. Thanks Matt.
