The bite on L&C continues to very good with limits coming daily when the weather cooperates. The west end is the hottest bite however there are a ton of fish on the east end along the SD beaches up to the dam from Gavins Point boat ramp. The White bass are thick if this area but it holds some some big walleye as well. Pulling Salmo's for the suspended fish is the best option but you can live bait as well and target the fish near the bottom (mainly sauger). The west end from the colony to the chutes has been on fire all summer with most fish coming in 3-9'fow. Salmo's once again are hard to beat in this area but when the weeds are to thick live bait has been the ticket. Jigs and a crawler or leech as well as Randy's Rigs and or Lindy Rigs are working best. Graph the fish, catch the fish it's that simple for the most part. Read the current and pay attention to when and where you caught the fish as they will move throughout the day. There has been a lot of very nice 20-26" walleye caught this year.
