The bite has been great the past couple weeks and should continue through summer. The fish are out of the river and moved into the lake and have been feeding heavily on all the bugs. The bait hatch will be happening around the end of the month so that will change things up a bit. But for now pulling cranks (Salmo Hornets #4-#5's) on the west end has been hard to beat. Fish can be found in 4-10' FOW on the west end. Pulling bouncers and spinners (Randy's Rigs) with crawlers and leeches is working well. Look for some suspended fish on the east end of the lake as well as some very nice size white bass. Pulling lead core line shallow or deep work great on Lewis and Clark and the faster the better.

Are the chutes in the Apple Tree area fishable or is water level a problem?
Recommendations as to where to fish on west or east end of the lake. Not familiar with L&C lake.
