The warmer weather is helping pick up the bite on LC. Bugs are begging to hatch with means fish are in the mud. The entire west end from Tabor boat ramp to the chutes has walleye moving around chasing the bug hatches. Stay on the move my trolling crank baits (Salmo/Flicker Shads) to find the active fish. Some fish are in the chutes as well. Usually a bug hatch means go with 1/2 crawler either on a jig or a Lindy rig. But pulling spinners (Randy's Rigs) or slow death will produce as well. Water temps are 70 and will shoot up a bit more this week. Fish are very healthy but a lot of small fish in the system this year as well so just keep at it to get your keepers. The fish should be settling into their typical summer locations on the west end very soon. The water is low so getting around the west end is a little tricky just go slow and make a trail (then save it!) and that should help you all summer long.

Looking forward to fishing with you on Sunday. My son is flying in from Ohio to join me for some father's day fishing.
