Fishing is great as usual on Lake Francis Case but as summer settles in there can be times of challenge. Currently fish are holding in the back of bays chasing a shad hatch as well as out on main lakes points and in deep trees. The main lake points and deep trees will hold fish the rest of the summer. Depth of 20-35'fow have been the best with an occasional fish in deeper water. As the tempatures rise look for these fish to move deeper. When fishing over the trees keep it simple with a 3oz bottom bouncer and a slowdeath rig and crawler to catch thos suspened walleye (30' down). Same method works for main lake points but in this case you will want to locate bottom with your rig and work it around the points from 1-1.5mph. Trolling can put a number of fish in the boat as well, if trolling the trees big bass spinner baits work well (1oz and bigger) as they do not get hung up near as often. Flicker minnows are effective at all depths and reef runners will get you down deep fast and have good action at a slow speed when fishing deep.
